Firefighters kept busy Wednesday evening Jan. 12 in the California area battling a house fire.
Fire and EMS crews responded to the 45800 block of Meadowlark Drive shortly before 6 p.m. for report of a fire in the kitchen area of a two-story single family home.
Crews arrived on the scene to discover heavy smoke showing from the structure. Investigation revealed there was food on the stove which led to fire on the kitchen range.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze and prevent extention to other parts of the home.
All of the residents were able to escape the home without injury.
