Antonia Maria Sirotich Marusic, 95, of Stuarts Draft Virginia died May 6, 2016 at Stuarts Draft Retirement Community and Christian Home.

Born August 23, 1920 in Montona, d’Istria. She was the daughter of Antonio Sirotich and Maria Bencich Sirotich. She was the wife of the late Modesto Giovanni Marusic whom she married June 25, 1946 at San Giacomo Catholic Church in Trieste, Italy. She was the sister of Mario, Silvano and Giuseppina Bencic. She was the mother of Walter Giovanni Marusic.

Antonia worked in the garment industry in New York for many years. She and her husband moved to Hollywood, MD in 1980. She enjoyed gardening and cooking with her husband of 54 years. They often prepared delicious dishes directly from their garden. They beautifully maintained their yard. She took a special interest in the seniors living in her neighborhood at Scotch Point in Hollywood, Maryland and often checked on them during the week. She loved to walk in the community visiting with families until her early 90s.

Antonia is survived by her devoted son, Walter Giovanni Marusic, and her daughter-in-law, Johanna Page Marusic.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 10 AM at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Hollywood, Maryland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Raymond Schmidt as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jay Page, John Page, Bob Myers, Michael Page, Johnny Hilley, and Bill Yeh. Honorary Pallbearer is Terri Adair.
