New York bombing suspect identified as Akayed Ullah

UPDATE 12/11/17, 10:09 a.m. - Sources are reporting that the New York City bombing suspect has been identified as Akayed Ullah, a 27-year-old Bangladeshi man living in Brooklyn. Reports say that Ullah had moved to the United States seven years ago.

Ullah suffered burns to the hands and abdomen when the device went off prematurely.  Approximately three to four people were injured in the blast with non-life threatening injuries. 

Authorities are investigating the attack. 

NEW YORK CITY - Multiple sources are reporting of an explosion coming from a New York city bus terminal that left several people with injuries. 

New York City Police say that the suspect, who is now in police custody, had an explosive device strapped to his body when it went off at the Port Authority bus terminal located near Times Square. Authorities evacuated and shut down surrounding public transportation following the attack. 

The Port Authority bus terminal is said to be one of New York's busiest stations, serving over 200,000 commuters daily.
