Nun’s amazing story subject of film

Hollywood, MD - An acclaimed motion picture that tells the incredible story of Mother Teresa is currently showing for a limited time at RC Theatres in California. Catholic churches in St. Mary’s County are urging parishioners to “celebrate Advent with an excellent Catholic movie while supporting RC Theatres for bringing a Catholic film to the county.”

The film, “The Letters,” stars Juliet Stevenson in the role of the iconic religious figure, who founded Missionaries of Charity, an organization that actively renders aid in over 100 countries. Mother Teresa was presented with the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. She died in 1997 and was beatified in 2003.

“The movie shows a side of her many never knew existed,” said Fox Entertainment film critic Steve Oldfield, who called The Letters “a rare PG-13 movie that serves up plenty for adults and teenagers to think about.”

Show times for The Letters at RC Theatres Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are 1:10 p.m., 4:20 p.m., 7:10 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The theater is located at 23326 Three Notch Road in California.
