Serious Head-On Collision in Friendship

DUNKIRK, Md. - On November 23, 2020, at approximately 7:03 p.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded for the vehicle fire at Route 260 & Jewell Road. While enroute, Communications advised they were receiving additional information that the vehicle fire was a result of a serious accident with multiple people trapped. 

Crews arrived on the scene at Route 260 & Sansbury Road with a two-vehicle head-on accident. A total of three people were trapped in both vehicles. Dunkirk VFD Squad 5 & North Beach VFD Squad 1 went to work on extricating. MEDEVAC was requested for transport of two patients.

In addition, Anne Arundel County Fire Department received the call and sent numerous resources to assist as well as units from PG County Fire Department. Units from the Dunkirk VFD operated on the scene for 90 minutes.
