Frank Raymond Vause

Frank Raymond Vause, 61, of California, MD passed away on October 27, 2020 at his home after a months-long battle with cancer.

He was born on December 10, 1958 in Augusta, GA to Christa Gorbing Vause of California, MD and the late George Clarence Vause.

Frank is a 1976 graduate of Great Mills High School.  On February 4, 1977, Frank enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country until his Honorable Discharge as an Electronics Technician  in June 1983. On July 9, 1985, he married his adored wife, Annette (Jones) Vause. They were married for over 22 years until her death in April 2008. He was self-employed for many years as a skilled carpenter and he made his family many beautiful pieces of furniture including cabinets, shelves, and mirrors.  He was incredibly handy and able to fix just about anything..  As an avid reader, he enjoyed many different genres.  He was very social and studied politics and enjoyed having conversations about various political topics. He was a movie buff, enjoyed watching South Park, listening to talk radio, and liked to play lottery scratch-offs and Keno. He also enjoyed a good card game of Rummy or Solitaire. Family was very important to him and he always looked forward to visiting with them.

In addition to his beloved mother, he is also survived by his siblings: Thomas Patrick “Tom” Vause of California, MD, Eric Steven Vause (Diane) of Chuckey, TN, and Heidi Lynn Vause (Jeff Pleines) of Catonsville, MD; his nieces, Arica Vause Sandoval and Jennifer Vause Miller of NM; his step-son, Keith Roberson of FL; and many extended family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., with a Funeral Service celebrated by Pastor George Jarboe at 2:00 p.m., at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will be private.
