Leida Marie Adkins, 64, of White Plains Leida Marie Adkins, 64, of White Plains died Dec. 27, 2002, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C. She was a homemaker. She lived in White Plains since 1972, having moved from Landover. Born Feb. 6, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Cecilio Tadle and the late Maria Tadle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melville Adkins; and sons, Robert A. Adkins and Christopher P. Adkins. She is survived by her sons, Melville G. Adkins Jr. of White Plains, Jeffrey K. Adkins and his partner, James Ramsey, of Waldorf, Patrick B. Adkins and his wife, Caro, of Gambrills and Gregory S. Adkins of Welcome and his fiancee, Wendy; brothers, Richardo Tadle, Ezequial Tadle and Francisco Tadle; sisters, Cecelia Tadle and Marie Herring; grandchildren, Candice Renee Adkins, Ashley Marie Adkins, Shane Patrick Adkins, Casy Scott Adkins and Bret Michael Neff. Services were held Dec. 31 at St. MAry's Catholic Church, Bryantown. The Rev. Joseph Kleinstuber officiated. Burial took place at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton. Arrangements were handled by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata.
