John Lloyd Seymour, 66, of Cobb Island John Lloyd Seymour, 66, Cobb Island, formerly of Wheaton, died July 24, 2002, at his home. He was a member of the of the Maryland Charter Boat Association, USS Coral Sea Association, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, a life member of Washington Suburban Master Plumbers Association, employee and past owner of R.L. Voight & Son Inc. for 37 years, and a member of the Cobb Island Yacht Club. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Seymour was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was the son of the later John Seymour and the late Evelyn Voigt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Benzies. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lorraine Seymour of Cobb Island; son, John Lester Seymour of Mount Airy; daughter, Joy Lynn Burrier of Thurmont; sisters, Margaret Smith of Lake Park, Fla., Barbara Keys of Sterling, Va., and June Tanner of Fort White, Fla.; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., with prayers at 7 p.m. July 29 at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata, where services will be held at 12:30 p.m. July 30. The Rev. Larry Chambers will officiate. Burial will take place at Maryland Cemetery, Cheltenham. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 156, Cobb Island, Md. 20625; Cobb Island Baptist Church, P.O. Box 150, Cobb Island, Md. 20625; or Hospice of Charles County, P.O. Box 1703, La Plata, Md. 20646. Arrangements are being handled by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home.
