Capt. Douglas W. Scheible died on September 9, 2002, after a short illness. Born December 24, 1937 in Washington, DC. He grew up and lived most of his life in Ridge, MD, he spent many winters in the Florida Keys, where he owned and operated the charter/head boat Bay King in Marathon Key. He worked by his father?s side for many years operating Scheibles Fishing Center. All knew him as a very kind and generous man. He changed the life of many fathers and sons, mothers and daughters that fished for the first time. Surviving is his son Capt. Dale E. Scheible and wife Mary, two grandchildren Dale Edward II and Kaylei Nichole of Ridge, MD and two brothers, Andrew F. Scheible of Scotland, MD and Bruce R. Scheible of Ridge, MD. Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 16th at St. Michael?s Catholic Church in Ridge with Father Maurice O?Connell officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 456, Ridge, MD 20680 and/or the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, Ridge, MD 20680 Arrangements were by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., Leonardtown, MD 20650
