Dorothy Celeste Landman, 98, of Leonardtown, MD died on January 10, 2003 at the St. Mary?s Nursing Center, Leonardtown, MD. She was born on October 23, 1904 in Leonardtown, MD the daughter of the late George and Jeanette Bond Peacock. Mrs. Landman was a nurse at St. Mary?s Hospital for many years; she was President of the Leonardtown Ladies Auxiliary from 1959-1963 and 1967-1969, President of the Ladies Auxiliary Southern Maryland Association from 1967-1969, and President of the Ladies Auxiliary, Prince George?s County. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, crafts and gardening, she also loved traveling. Mrs. Landman was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD. Her children, Jeanette Brown of Sebring, FL, Veronica Taylor of Newport News, VA, Loren L. Landman of Colespoint, VA, Robert Landman, of Phoenix, AZ, and James Landman, of VA, 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren survive. Her husband Loren Landman whom she married on September 17, 1925 in Baltimore, MD preceded her in death in February 1972, a sister Christine Cameron, a brother Adolph Peacock, two grandsons; Lee and Warren Whitlock also preceded her in death. Friends may call on Sunday January 12, 2003 at the Brinsfield Funeral Home 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD from 3:00 until 5:00 pm; Deacon Thomas Spalding will recite prayers at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday January 13, 2003 at 10:00 am at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 22800 Washington Street, Leonardtown, MD, Reverend Rory Conley will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. John Francis Regis Catholic Cemetery, Hollywood, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, P.O. Box 50, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
