Charles Edward Kiker, 77, of Tall Timbers, MD died on Saturday, January 4, 2003 at the St. Mary?s Hospital, Leonardtown, MD.He was born on June 21, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late Jacob and Edith Gomeringer Kiker.In 1943 he joined the United States Navy where he served his country until 1946. He received the Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon. Mr. Kiker later owned and operated the Water Wheel Inn and the Doylestown Inn, in Doylestown, PA. He also owned Lydmar Enterprises, an electrical contracting company that he had retired from. Mr. Kiker was a member of the Fort Washington, PA Masonic Lodge # 308. He became a resident of St. Mary?s County in 1991.His wife Ann Louise Lawton Kiker, whom he married on July 12, 1980, his children, Lydia Kiker, of Annadale, NJ, Marjorie Marrone, of Philadelphia, PA, Joanne Chandler and husband Dave, of Quarryville, PA, Dennis Hendricks and wife Sharon, of Upper Black Eddy, PA and Linda Diehl and husband Mark, of Perkasie, PA, 10 grandchildren survive.Friends may call on Friday, January 10, 2003 at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Maryland, 14435 Cherry Lane Court, Suite 310, Laurel, MD 20707-4959.
