Driver and Passenger Arrested for Hollywood Highs

At 11:58 a.m. Nov. 4, TFC P. Trossbach observed a vehicle traveling west on Route 245 which appeared to be traveling faster than the posted 50 mile per hour speed limit. With radar, a speed of 73 mph was detected.
When TFC Trossbach turned his police car around the vehicle quickly accelerated and turned onto Tin Top Hill Lane, Hollywood, police say.

The vehicle was stopped on Tin Top Hill Lane the officer observed the driver and passenger making excessive movement toward each other.  After backup arrived, both subjects were removed from the vehicle and a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted.  Police say a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana was found inside a pair of jeans sitting on the driver’s seat.   

The driver, Jerry Allen Stone Sr., 36, of Hollywood, and passenger, Joey Allen Nesmith, 25 of Hollywood, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia.  Both were taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
