Jean Lauria Fontaine, 86, formerly of Springfield, MA, recently residing in Callaway, MD, passed away on October 13, 2020 at Hospice of St. Mary’s surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts to the late George Arthur Bedard and Leah Marlowe.
Jean served in the Air Force from 1952 to 1954 when she was honorably discharged. Later on Jean was hired by the A & P Grocery Store as their Accounts Payable Clerk for over 20 years of employment. She enjoyed going to play Bingo, cross stitching and watching old game shows. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her children, Daniel McConaha of Tenaha, TX; Doreen Marie Boucher (Arnie Akin) of Callaway, MD; Donna Jean Davis of Ruskin, FL; and Debra Ellen Lussier (Phil) of Monroe, NC; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sons David Robert McConaha and Dennis McConaha and her siblings Donald Bedard, Albert Bedard, Lorraine Bouchard and Lucille Romanych and a grandchild Scott Akin.
