Heroes Hailed For Life-Saving Efforts

BARSTOW, Md. - Employees at the Calvert County Detention Center were recognized for their life-saving efforts.

According to the Calvert County Sheriff's Office, back in May there was an incident at the detention center that put someone's life in danger. Employees sprang into action to offer assistance. "In May, an individual at the detention center was discovered in a perilous situation. This team responded quickly and took extraordinary action to save a life."

The Sheriff's Office awarded staff members with a Team Excellence Award. Recognized for their life-saving actions were Deputy First Class (Cdfc.) Kiana Brooks, Cdfc. Thomas Commodore, Correctional Sergeant Marcella Conway-Jones, Cdfc. David Aaron Cook, Senior Cdfc. Robert Scott, and Cdfc. Erik Snyder.

The Sheriff's Office said, "Their professionalism, dedication, and hard work are evident in their concern for those in their care! Congratulations to you all for this well-deserved recognition."
