Calvert Pines Senior Center Closed Due to Water Issues

Prince Frederick, MD – October 7, 2019 – The Calvert Pines Senior Center in Prince Frederick is closed effective immediately due to water issues. All classes, programs and services are cancelled. The center will remain closed today, Oct. 7, 2019, until repairs to the water system are completed and will reopen Tuesday, Oct. 8 with normal operating hours. The Calvert County Office on Aging asks that citizens not drop off family members or visit the senior center during this time.

Due to a water line repair, residents and businesses located on the west side of MD Route 2-4 on Dares Beach Road may experience minor water pressure impacts and see a small amount of sediment. The water is safe to use and citizens are advised to run water until clear. If you continue to experience issues, please contact the Calvert County Water & Sewerage Division at 410-535-1600, ext. 2554.

Operating under the Calvert County Department of Community Resources, the Calvert County Office on Aging provides a broad range of programs and services that enable senior citizens to maintain the best possible quality of life.
