Crosby discusses education

Lexington Park, MD - Democrat Brian Crosby, a Pennsylvania native and U.S. Army veteran who is challenging incumbent Republican Deb Rey in Maryland House of Delegates District 29, has declared education and school safety to be two issues at the core of his campaign. The candidate wants to see the state provide public education institutions the necessary resources to enhance job readiness for students. He also believes St. Mary’s County should strive to pay public school teachers on a par with nearby Calvert County. He also predicted the county will need to build an additional school during the next four years, noting that there are schools in the county utilizing portable classrooms to accommodate the growing student population.

Recently, Crosby visited the offices and studio of to talk about his ongoing campaign. His vision for improving area education is discussed in the video. He also spoke about the need for a third building at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center.
