Washington Caps Rock the City Tap House to Benefit Foundation 4 Heroes

If you are a Caps fan then you don’t want to miss this unbelievable opportunity to meet some of the world’s greatest hockey players.

Foundation 4 Heroes has teamed up with City Tap House in DC to bring; Karl Alzner, Troy Brouwer and John Carlson, for an exciting afternoon of autographs on Sunday November 9th from 5 – 7pm. It starts at 5 but you better get there early.

Look for John Carlson, Karl Alzner and Troy Brouwer of The Washington Capitals to also be mixing your drinks. You may have to tell them easy on the ice. Lol.

There is a $20 entry fee, which comes with a free drink. For autographs, it is just $10 per player. Bring one item per athlete, get it signed and get ready to hang it on your wall or Ebay it. Most autograph sessions are $35/ per athlete or more. Foundation 4 Heroes kept this event super reasonable for maximum benefit to the public.

Initially they wanted to bring the Caps players to Southern Maryland but they exhausted their efforts trying to find a sponsor locally for this event. They were disappointed it couldn’t be closer but they couldn’t get a business to step up for the community, or for the Foundation 4 Heroes. This fundraiser is vital to their success, as although there is support for what they do there isn’t a lot of financial support.

They would also like to bring Clinton Portis to the area but need a venue to show interest and public support.

If you buy tickets for autographs, 100% of the proceeds benefit Foundation 4 Heroes, a non-profit organization which inspires and supports children battling diseases to discover the Superhero inside of them and overcome challenges they face.

Additionally, a silent auction with items such as hockey paraphernalia and Fender® Guitars signed by Alice Cooper, Dierks Bentley, and Steve Lukather will be available to the highest bidder.  Sponsors for this two-hour event include: Red Bull, Ketel One Vodka, and Bulleit Frontier Whiskey.

City Tap House is located at 901 9th Street, NW, 20001. For reservations or additional information, please call (202) 733-5333 or visit

The mission of the Foundation 4 Heroes is to reinforce a path for a positive future by promoting the superhero inside every child.  We recognize and embrace our responsibilities as role models and will inspire and teach children to: (1) always do the right thing, (2) to never give up, (3) listen to your parents and (4) never be a bully (by being kind and respectful to others).  We encourage the children to believe in themselves, fulfill their dreams, and overcome obstacles while lifting their spirits and being supportive of their unique needs.  More information can be found online at:
