White House Seeks Christmas Decorating Volunteers

  • By

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The White House is making plans for this year's Christmas season and the President and First Lady are in search of volunteers.

They're looking for individuals to help with the decor and also searching for musicians, choirs, and other Christmas-themed entertainers to perform throughout the month of December.

There will be special safety protocols in place for COVID-19. Those include:

  • Fewer volunteers than in past years
  • Mandatory face masks
  • Social distancing
  • Hand sanitizer stations

Volunteers interested in assisting with the decoration or serving as a greeter at Holiday open houses can click here to apply. Each person must sign up individually.

The application deadline is October 1. Those selected will be notified by October 15.

Entertainers - either individuals or groups - can click here to apply. The deadline is October 8. If you or your group is selected, you'll be notified by October 22.
