Calvert County, MD -- The Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter in Prince Frederick says it is "over cat-pacity" and needs to find forever homes for cats and kittens fast.

The shelter is waiving adoption fees for all cats and kittens through the end of September.

Cats of all ages are available at the shelter and regular adoption procedures are still in place.

If you can't keep a cat indoors, the shelter also offers a working cats program for outdoor cats that don't seem they'll do well indoors.

Working cats provide eco-friendly, non-toxic pest control. They are ideal for those with a barn/shed, farm, warehouse, retail store, body shop, car dealership, stable, greenhouse, nursery, vineyard, distillery, scrap yard, large garage or other similar structure.

All cats are altered (if old enough), tested for feline leukemia, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped and dewormed.

The shelter is located at 5055 Hallowing Point Road in Prince Frederick.

The Shelter hours are:

Tuesday and Thursday
10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
