Charles County Sheriff's Reports for September 13th-14th: Burglaries and Attack

Thief Takes Cash Drawers from Liquor Store
On Sept. 14 at 5:41 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to two businesses - Szechuan Gardens and World Liquor – in the Shoppers World shopping center in the 3200 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf for intrusion alarms.
Investigation revealed a suspect forced entry into both businesses through their front doors. The suspect did not steal anything from Szechuan, but he stole three cash drawers with an undisclosed amount of money from World Liquor. He fled the scene in a red full-size pick-up truck.
The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black Rockville Harley Davidson shirt and gray sweat pants.

All Terrain Thieving
On Sept. 13 at 9:56 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Gardiner Equipment at 11740 Vernon Road in Waldorf for the intrusion alarm.
Investigation revealed suspect(s) entered the property by damaging a fence. The suspect(s) pushed two Polaris ATVs toward the opening made in the fence but fled without stealing the ATVs. It is unknown at this time if any other items were stolen.

Woman Attacks Acquaintance with Scissors and Bottle
On Sept. 13 at 2:45 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to a residence in the 3100 block of Sedgewick Drive in Waldorf for the report of an injured person. Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old man with multiple facial injuries.
Investigation revealed man was at a residence in the 9200 block of Larson Drive in Waldorf when he became involved in an argument with Lekisha Lashan Edwards, 25, of Waldorf. Edwards assaulted the victim with scissors and a bottle.
 The victim then fled to the residence on Sedgewick Drive. A Maryland State Police helicopter flew him to Prince George's General Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Officers responded to the address on Larson Drive and arrested Edwards. She was charged with First- and Second- Degree Assault and is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner. The victim and the accused know each other.
