Maryland gets an A grade from small business owners

San Francisco, CA -- Small business owners say that Maryland is a great place to do business according to the results of a new survey.

The survey was conducted by Thumbtack, who surveyed more than 5,000 small business owners from across the U.S. operating across hundreds of categories including electricians, music teachers, wedding planners, and wellness professionals.

The survey included questions about government policies towards businesses and community support of these enterprises.

Small business owners gave Maryland an A this year, ranking ninth in our survey of business friendliness in all 50 states. That's 11 spots better than last year, when it ranked 20th and received a B+.
