Severn, MD -- Anne Arundel County Police say a man repeatedly hit and then threw a Doberman Pinscher down the stairs and it was all caught on video.

On August 8, officers from Western District received an animal abuse complaint concerning a Doberman Pinscher puppy and went to  the 1100 block of Carinoso Circle in Severn to check it out.

Based on other evidence at the scene, Anne Arundel County Animal Care and Control was called in and transported the dog, named Bucko, to an emergency veterinary clinic.

The investigation by police detectives, assisted by Animal Care and Control, uncovered a video that clearly showed the suspect repeatedly strike and throw Bucko down the stairs.

Officers arrested Robert Henry Reynolds Jr. on charges of animal cruelty and mutilation.

Bucko is in good condition at a local vet clinic. A cat was removed from the Carinoso address and two other dogs were removed from an address associated with Mr. Reynolds in Hanover, Maryland. Those animals are being held in protective custody.
