Fire does $100,000 in damage

Leonardtown, MD -- An overnight fire on Saturday did a lot of damage to a shed in St. Mary's County, but fortunately, no one was injured.

A neighbor spotted the blaze, on Longmore Street in Leonardtown when it broke out around 3:30 a.m. on August 10.

Ten firefighters from the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department got things under control in less than half an hour.

Estimated damage to the building is $100,000. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal, Southern Regional Office, at 443-550-6820.
