Calvert County, MD. -- The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners is holding a public meeting to hear what residents think about some proposed changes to rules about the sale of alcohol at events held on farms.

Currently farm breweries, distilleries, and wineries may only sell alcohol produced on site. If a proposed zoning amendment passes, farms would be able to sell alcohol from outside sources at events held on farms.

The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners and Planning Commission will hold a Joint Public Hearing on Tuesday, August 20 at the Harriet E. Brown Community Center to hear comments from the public.

There is a limit of 2 minutes for individuals and 5 minutes for group representatives.

The Harriet E. Brown Community Center is located at 901 Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick.
