Leonardtown, Md.—On August 4, at 11:00 a.m. the family of Joey Adams (whom was in a recent accident that has affected so many in the St. Mary’s County community) spoke out about Joey and his condition.

Joey’s Mother Belinda Copenhaver; His Brother David Adams, Jr.; His Brother Nick Copenhaver and his wife Lauren commented.

Joey’s Mother Belinda reports that “Joey remains in a coma at PG Shock Trauma, due to a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI); with additional injuries of broken femur, broken foot, four broken bones in his back, deep laceration on the back of his head, and a bruised lung.  He has undergone several surgeries already.  And it is projected that extensive Rehabilitation will be required.”

“The community came together; the support has been simply outstanding” said Lauren Copenhaver.

Joey’s Brother Nick touched on the characteristics that made Joey such an easy person to like; by saying “Joey’s personality is electrifying, he is a tough kid.”

His Brother David says “He is a hard worker; Joey loves working on his truck and the farm.”

The community has pulled together to raise money for Joey’s long road of recovery, the family thanks everyone for their amazing outpouring of support and generosity. 

The family also asks for the community to keep Praying for Joey, for a quick and swift healing process.
