Calvert County Government announced that the county landfills – Appeal and Barstow – and two county convenience centers – Mt. Hope and Huntingtown – will be open effective 1 p.m., Monday, August 29, 2011 for trash only; they will remain open until 7 p.m.
All county trash facilities will resume regular hours August 30, 2011 and be open 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Residents are urged to use caution when conducting storm cleanup and are encouraged to visit the county website at www.co.cal.md.us for updates on the Hurricane Irene response.
