Rush Hour has a Whole New Meaning

This weekend, come join Sudden Rush Youth ministries with Living Hope Church at Chancellor's Run Park for a day of activities suitable for the entire family for free!

Saturday, Aug. 23 marks the first ever Rush Hour Community Event. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., you're invited to partake in free festivities and free food. With 2,170 hot dogs, "we're planning to feed a lot of people," said Denise Gibson, of Living Hope Church.

There will be a moon bounce, giant slide, face painting and more for the kids who will be overseen by volunteers certified to work with children and make sure the event is safe and orderly.

Youth and adults can enjoy the Sudden Rush three-on-three basketball trounament. With three age brackets, 13 to 15, 16 to 18, and 19 and up, this is sure to be an event that everyone can enjoy. There will be a first place, second place and tournament MVP of each bracket. A Slam Dunk contest guarantees to excite the crowd.

Prizes will also be awarded for a classic car show and a "live" Fear Factor tournament. Guests are also invited to play Volleyball.

Make sure you bring your entire family clan, because there will be a $300 cash prize awarded to the person that brings the most guests. There will be a drawing for free back packs for high school, middle school and elementary school and a free bike raffle.

“We are so excited about the upcoming event," said Gibson and Tim Coots, also of Living Hope Church, in a statement to the public. "We are so grateful to everyone of our business sponsors, partners and membership to bring this to pass. We are looking forward to being able to serve so many people and see everyone have a great time of fun and fellowship. Our mission is to bring the community together and share life and hope!”
