Tipsy Driver Out of Gas and Out of Luck

On Aug. 7 at 12:05 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Post Office Road and Doolittle Drive in Waldorf to assist a motorist.

When officers arrived they found the vehicle was parked partially in the roadway. Investigation revealed the driver, Dwaun Williams, 21, of Waldorf, was intoxicated and had been driving but had run out of gas.

His license was suspended and revoked. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license and driving with a revoked license.

Williams was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the district court commissioner. Officer J. Clagett investigated.
