Summer Public Art Project: Wild Flowers: A colorful community garden – Daily through September 3, 2018; 10:00am-5:00pm
Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center in Solomons, Maryland
The public is invited to participate in Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center’s 2018 Summer Public Art Project Wild Flowers: A colorful community garden.  The community event runs through September 3, 2018 and will result in a display of ceramic wildflowers that will be installed at Annmarie Garden in early Fall 2018.  Inspired by a stunning visual display of ceramic red poppies at the Tower of London in 2014, our field of wildflowers will honor the spirit and creativity of our community, and friends. We wish to celebrate our visitors, students, and friends who continue to be an important part of our mission of connecting people to art and nature. Hundreds of ceramic flower parts were made by teens in Annmarie’s Counselors in Training program. Visitors are encouraged to paint a ceramic piece. Annmarie Summer Interns and staff will assemble the flowers. No two flowers will be alike, but all will be colorful, creative, and collaborative. It will be a playful visual representation of the garden of friends we’ve grown! Annmarie Garden is open daily from 10:00am-5:00pm, regular admission applies. For more information, visit www.annmariegarden.org, call (410) 326-4640, or email info@annmariegarden.org.
