Calvert County Nursing Center provides a personal touch

Prince Frederick, MD - When selecting a place for short-term or long-term nursing care, it all comes down to quality. Calvert County Nursing Center, a not-for-profit skilled nursing center, has been serving area residents of all ages for more than 40 years. Affiliated with Asbury Communities since March 2015, Calvert County Nursing Center’s caring staff provides short-term rehabilitation, a memory support neighborhood, respite care and palliative care, as well as long-term nursing care. 

The road to recovery from surgery, a serious illness or a significant injury is not an impossible path to navigate, thanks to Calvert County Nursing Center’s rehabilitation therapists. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech/language therapy and aftercare from surgery are provided by skilled, caring therapists, and many of these services are delivered seven days a week.

With guidance from your personal physician and Calvert Nursing Center’s Care Management Team, the following services and therapies are provided:

• diabetic management

• intravenous (IV) therapy

• medication administration hydration and nutrition assistance

• respiratory treatments and oxygen therapy

• wound care

• reconditioning following an acute or chronic disease incident

For long-term care residents, family members are encouraged to participate in and provide feedback through Family Council Meetings held each month.
