Gunmen Knock on Door, Beat Home-Owner in Head, Tie Him Up, And Force Him into A Closet

At 8:30 p.m. on July 14, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton for the report of a victim being treated for injuries sustained during a home invasion in Charles County.

Investigation revealed the victim, a 25-year-old man, was at his residence in the 2100 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf when he answered a knock at his door.

Two men struck the victim in the head several times with a handgun. The men then tied up the victim inside the residence and forced him into a closet.

The intruders stole the victim’s cell phone and cash and fled the scene.

The injured man was transported to the hospital by a friend.

Both attackers are described as black males with large builds and are in their 30s. The first suspect is described as dark-complexioned, is 5 feet 9 inches tall and has short hair. The second suspect is described as bald. Both men were in possession of handguns.
