Dunkirk responded to early-morning fire Saturday

At approximately 2:20 a.m. Saturday, the Box Alarm was sounded for the "outside flood light on fire” at 4040 Turkey Foot Road (707 Box). Dunkirk VFD Truck 5 & Chief 5 responded on the call.

The St Leonard VFD arrived on location with fire throughout the house.

With that information, Dunkirk VFD Engine 52 was dispatched and responded as well. Several attack lines were deployed quickly knocking down the fire.

Truck 5 and Engine 52 operated on Division 2 opening up and extinguishing the fire. Chief 5 was assigned the Division 2 supervisor. Units from the Dunkirk VFD operated on the scene for 1 hour.
