The Washington Nationals recalled right-handed pitcher Austin Voth from Double-A Harrisburg and released right-handed pitcher Trevor Rosenthal on Sunday. Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcement.

Voth, 26, joins the Nationals after going 3-5 with a 4.40 ERA in 12 starts for the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies in 2019. He struck out 68 batters in 61.1 innings pitched (10.0 SO/9.0 IP), issued 15 walks and allowed just seven home runs in the hitter friendly Pacific Coast League. In his last start on June 13 vs. Iowa (CHI), Voth allowed two earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and one walk in 7.0 innings.

Voth started the 2019 season strong, going 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA (2 ER/15.0 IP), 21 strikeouts, two walks and a .211 opp. AVG in his first three starts.

Rosenthal, 29, appeared in 12 games for the Nationals in 2019, going 0-1 with a 22.74 ERA.
