Hance seeks at-large seat on board of commissioners

Prince Frederick, MD – Lifelong Calvert County resident and former Maryland Agriculture secretary Earl “Buddy” Hance is a candidate for the Calvert County Board of County Commissioners. The Port Republic resident is running as a Republican for an at-large seat on the board.

When he launched his campaign last November, Hance stated he is looking to “bring heightened transparency to the board of county commissioners and refocus leadership on the things that make Calvert County such a desirable place to live, work and raise a family.”

Hance served as Maryland Ag secretary from 2009 to 2015 during the O’Malley Administration. He is a former president of the Maryland Farm Bureau and the Calvert County Farm Bureau.

Hance is married with three children and four grandchildren.
