Local Casual Dining Restaurant Honored for Exceptional Marketing Execution and Sustained Growth

Local entrepreneur and Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar of Waldorf owner, Pank Presswala was recently recognized at the Boston Pizza & Boston’s 2016 Franchisee Conference as a distinguished recipient of the restaurant’s Marketer of the Year Award and newly found member of The President’s Club.

Surrounded by fellow colleagues at the franchise’s national conference in Toronto, Presswala and integral staff members including General Manager Dave Widenor and Marketing Manager Victoria Oleksak were recognized for their commitment to excellence in planning and executing all of Boston's national promotions, as well as developing local store marketing programs that warranted positive results over the entire year.

“Boston’s in Waldorf has continually pushed the envelope of connecting with their community,” said Brad Bevill, V.P. of Marketing at Boston’s U.S. headquartered in Dallas. “Whether it be one of several fundraisers they have hosted or innovative programs like reintroducing our Heart-Shaped Pizzas as a Mother’s Day special, Pank and his team are leaders in our organization.”

Presswala was also inducted into Boston Pizza International’s President’s Club which recognizes superior franchisees and their peers for overall performance, impressive level of accomplishments, and sustained growth, not only on the financial level, but on the overall efforts of the team. Inductees are evaluated based on the caliber of management abilities and practices.

“Being recognized as the Marketer of the Year and inductee into The President’s Club validates all of the hard work my team and I have put forth over the last 12 months,” said Presswala. “Our commitment to providing an exceptional restaurant experience is contagious and is exemplified through every single one of my staff members working at the Waldorf location. This award will only fuel our passion further for operational excellence and continued commitment to our loyal followers in the community.”

The Waldorf restaurant is no stranger to supporting their local community through partnerships and charitable outreach. Over the last seven years, the restaurant has donated over $50,000 to a multitude of charities and were also the recipient of Boston’s “Big Heart” Award in previous years, which recognizes franchisees that have gone above and beyond for their communities.
