Man Busted on Route 235 with Over 20 Bags of Marijuana

On Saturday, June 26 around 4:30 p.m., Maryland State Police TFC Pitcher was on Route 235 in the area of Exploration Drive and initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for exceeding the posted speed limit.

Upon contact with the driver, Terrance K. Johnson, 43 of Lexington Park, it was discovered that Johnson had over 20 bags of Marijuana and prescription pills inside his vehicle.

MSP confiscated the drugs and paraphernalia. Johnson was charged with CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute, along with several possession charges and paraphernalia charges.

Johnson was complaining about feeling ill while officers were searching his vehicle. An ambulance responded to the scene and shortly after transported him to St. Mary's Hospital after Johnson told rescue crews he felt like he was going to pass out.

Mr. Johnson's 11-year-old daughter was in the vehicle with him at the time of the arrest.

Johnson was later transported to St. Mary's Detention Center where he was released on bond June 27th.
