Four Injured, Three Trasnported in Two-Car Accident

On Saturday, June 5, at approximately 9:20 p.m., units from Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department and Prince Frederick Rescue Squad responded to report of an auto accident along Route 231 near Thunder Hill Drive in Prince Frederick.

Upon arrival, units discovered multiple injuries stemming from a two-car accident. After initial assessment of the crash victims, units requested four ambulances. One patient rated as serious – life threatening, two were checked and classified as critical – not life threatening and the fourth crash victim receieved minor injuries not requiring transport.

Three of the crash victims were transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital in ambulances from Prince Frederick, Benedict and Huntingtown.

No word yet on the cause of the crash.

Maryland State Police continues to investigate.
