Driver Flown to Shock Trauma After Striking Utility Pole

St. Mary's County Sheriff's are investigating a serious crash in Park Hall that left one man injured.

The crash occurred along the 47700 block of Park Hall Road in the area of Point Lookout Road. Investigation revealed a single vehicle struck a pole and overturned. The driver of the vehicle was initially trapped as emergency crews worked to extricate the patient. The male patient was complaining of chest pains at the time of the crash.

MSP Trooper 7 transported the driver of the vehicle to Prince Georges Shock Trauma where his condition is unknown at this time.

The roadway was closed for several hours while utility crews repaired the downed line and wires.

Authorities continue to investigate.

Park Hall Road in the area of Point Lookout Road remains shut down at this time. The road is expected to be closed for an extended period due to a utility pole down and wires in the roadway.

Authorities are on the scene of serious crash along the 47700 block of Park Hall Road in the area of Point Lookout Road in Park Hall for a serious accident with injuries.

The accident occurred around 1:20 p.m. on June 23. Intitial reports indicate a single-vehicle into a pole with wires down. One patient is reported to be trapped at this time.

Park Hall Road is closed in both directions at Route 5 and Route 235.
