Bus crash, child luring incident in Waldorf

On Friday afternoon, The Bay Net received a report of two incidents in the Charles County Public School System:

Dr. James Craik Elementary’s afternoon kindergarten bus 205 was involved in a minor accident at the intersection of Marshall Corner Road and Middleton Road. The bus driver sustained minor injuries. No other injuries were reported. The accident is still under investigation.

Also,during second grade recess at Eva Turner Elementary, located on Bannister Circle in Waldorf, a vehicle described as a “black car” stopped near the school grounds and reportedly shouted out to the children to “come get some candy.” The children immediately reported the incident to teachers. Police are investigating.
