ADVISORY: Shooting In Lexington Park; Subject With Five Gunshot Wounds

UPDATE - 10:24 p.m. -- The helicopter has reportedly landed and the patient has been loaded up to be flown to a nearby trauma center.

UPDATE - 10:14 p.m. - Our reports indicate that the patient is awake and oriented but is suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. The patient was reported to have been shot five times.

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. - We are receiving reports of a shooting this evening in Lexington Park.

At approximately 9:47 p.m. on May 5, police, fire and EMS were dispatched to the 46000 block of Flower Drive for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, crews discovered a patient who had received multiple gunshot wounds.

The condition of the patient is unknown at this time, however a helicopter is en route to provide transportation to a nearby trauma center.

The landing zone has been established at Lexington Park Elementary School. The helicopter was dispatched with an estimated time of arrival in 22 minutes from dispatch.
