ADVISORY: One Being Flown Out After Motorcycle Accident In Mechanicsville

MECHANICSVILLE, Md. -- A motorcycle was recently involved in an accident in Mechanicsville, and the driver is being prepared to be flown out.

At approximately 6:35 p.m. on May 31, first responders were called to the scene in the 27000 block of Three Notch Road, in the area of Old Village Road. The call out was originally for a pedestrian or motorcycle involved accident.

First units on the scene determined that a motorcycle had been involved in an accident with an SUV, and the driver of the bike had sustained serious injuries.

A helicopter from the Maryland State Police Aviation has been requested to transport the patient to a nearby trauma center. A landing zone for the helicopter has been established near the Mechanicsville Fire Department(28165 HILLS CLUB ROAD).
