MSP Prince Frederick Barrack DUI's, Warrants, & Arrests

Prince Frederick, MD – The below incidents, investigations, and arrests are, in part, demonstrative of the Prince Frederick Barrack’s effort to ensure that Calvert County is a safe place to live, work, and visit. 

Traffic Stop / Possession of Heroin - On 5/5/2020, Trooper Brown, Trooper Kelly, and Trooper First Class Rucker were responding to the 200 block of Red Cloud Road, Lusby, for a reported assault. Prior to arrival the suspect left the scene. Troopers were able to locate the vehicle in the area of Route 4 and Calvert Cliffs Parkway. A vehicle stop was initiated due to the originating call for service. Contact was made with the operator who was identified as Reyquon Devontee Holland (12/9/1998). Upon contact, a strong odor or burnt marijuana was detected and a vehicle search was conducted. As a result of the vehicle search, marijuana less than ten grams as well as suspected heroin was located. Holland was arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and was charged accordingly. All CDS were packaged and stored at the Maryland State Police, Prince Frederick Barrack.

Warrant Service - On 5/6/2020, Trooper First Class Rucker responded to 10120 Southern Maryland Boulevard, Dunkirk, to make contact with a Calvert County Deputy who was out with Tyler Merritt Swope (4/27/1996), who had an active warrant (FTA-Driving While Suspended), through the Maryland State Police, Glen Burnie Barrack. Due to the charges on the warrant, Swope was able to be served the warrant in Calvert County. Swope was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center, where the warrant was served without incident.

Warrant Service - On 05/09/2020, Trooper First Class Kaitz met with a Maryland State Police, Centerville Barrack Trooper in reference to taking custody of Joseph Anthony Lanfranchi (11/1/86), who had an active warrant (VOP-Possession of Marijuana) through the Maryland State Police, Prince Frederick Barrack. Due to the charges, Lanfranchi had to be returned to the issuing county of the warrant. Lanfranchi was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center, where the warrant was served without incident.

Traffic Stop / Fugitive Other Area - on 05/09/2020, Trooper First Class Marsch conducted a traffic stop in the area of Route 4 and Route 2, Owings, for traffic violations. Contact was made with the driver, Joseph Henry Hall (05/03/84), who was showing an active warrant through Charles County Sheriff's Office. Due to the charges, Hall had to be returned to Charles County for service of the warrant. Trooper First Class Marsch met a Charles County Deputy and Hall was taken into their custody without incident.
