Firefighters in St. Mary's County were busy Tuesday afternoon, after a large brush fire swept through a wooded area adjacent to some power lines in Lexington Park.

Rescue crews responded to report of fire in the 22300 Block of Three Notch Road behind a local church shortly before 2:30 p.m.
