Annmarie Garden is pleased to announce that Bill Curry of Hammer’s Antiques & Collectibles will join the event this year as the master of the Appraisal Fair.  Guests can bring up to three items (please, no weapons) on Saturday, 10am-2pm or Sunday Noon-2pm. Mr. Curry runs a popular facebook live auction site where he specializes in unusual items. With his entertaining gang of sock monkeys (yes, we said sock monkeys), he has turned online auctions and bidding into a whole entertainment experience!  You won’t want to miss this fabulous opportunity to take advantage of Mr. Curry’s vast knowledge!

The Faire will include two days of demos and talks highlighting the hottest trends in antiques and collectibles, upcycling and repurposing, including presentations by Heirs and Heirlooms, Not Too Shabby, The Lady Pinner, Recycled Tire Door Mats, and the Tobacco Barn Distillery, to name but a few  Not-to-be-missed talks include, “The Three Main DNA Tests & What They Reveal,” by Cherie Lynn of Heirs and Heirlooms, “Mod File Art,” by Rebecca Masters of The Lady Pinner, and “The Art of Displaying Art,” by Kristine Mooney of WDD, LLC.  For a complete schedule of activities, visit www.annmariegarden.org.

The Annmarie Antique & Flea Faire will also include a Flip & Flaunt Contest, with five teams competing for the best flip project. Teams will shop for their flip items at the Faire and transform their find into something special.  Guests will be able to observe the teams at work during the Faire.  All the Flip & Flaunt creations will be presented to the public at Noon on Sunday, May 6.  From 12:05-2:00 p.m., guests are invited to cast their vote for their favorite creation.  The winner of the most votes will earn the People’s Choice Award and $250, along with bragging rights as the Flip & Flaunt Champion!  New this year, all the Flip & Flaunt creations will be auctioned off during Annmarie’s annual Art Blooms Gala, to take place Friday, July 13, with proceeds to benefit the Annmarie program fund.

With more than 80 indoor and outdoor booths, great demos & talks, an appraisal fair, the Flip & Flaunt contest, activities for the kids, and food and drink, including wine and beer, the Annmarie Antique & Flea Faire is the perfect spring outing!
