Lexington Park Man Sentenced to 5 years Suspended to 18 Months for 2nd Degree Assault

LEONARDTOWN, MD - On February 12, 2020  Defendant Tevin Lamar Greer, 26 was sentenced to five (5) years suspended down to eighteen (18) months in jail for his involvement in a second degree assault.

After serving his jail sentence, the Defendant will be placed on five (5) years of supervised probation with the Department of Parole and Probation and is ordered to have no contact with the victim.

Deputy State's Attorney Jaymi Sterling prosecuted the case. 

Home Invasion-  On August 7, 2019, Dep. Kilgore responded to the 46800 block of Hilton Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported fight in progress.  Investigation determined Tevin Lamar Greer, age 25, and Cassidy Irene Howard age 19, both of Lexington Park, followed the victim to the victim's residence. 

The victim was able get into the residence, and Greer and Howard then forced entry. 

Once inside the residence Greer and Howard assaulted the victim; the victim's roommate was also assaulted by Howard. 

Howard was charged with Home Invasion, two counts of Assault 2nd Degree and Burglary 3rd Degree.  Greer was charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Home Invasion, and Burglary 3rd Degree.
