Student, 21, Smelling of Pot With Concealed Deadly Weapon

At 1:06 am on Thursday, March 9, Tpr. K. Shughart stopped a vehicle on Route 235 at Bay Forest Road, Lexington Park, for not having a working tag light.

The driver was identified as Peter Andrew Romm, 21, of St. Mary’s City, where he attends St. Mary's College of Maryland.

During conversation with Romm, an odor of burnt marijuana was detected. A probable cause search was conducted. No CDS was located, however a pair of brass knuckles was found in Romm’s pants pocket.

Romm was arrested and charged with Possession of a Concealed Deadly Weapon. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
