Speeding Stop Reveals Bags of Marijuana

At 12:17 pm on Tuesday, March 7, TFC T. Quade was working a speed enforcement assignment on Route 5 at Hills Club Road, Mechanicsville, when a vehicle was detected traveling at 66 mph in the posted 45 mph zone.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Joshua Spencer Johnson, 21, of Mechanicsville.

During a consent search, a plastic smoking device and two plastic bags containing marijuana residue was located in the driver’s seat area. Mr. Johnson was issued a criminal citation for Possession of CDS Paraphernalia and released from the scene.
