On February 17 at 3:21 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Stoddard Avenue in Waldorf for the report of unknown trouble.

Upon arrival, officers met with three girls, ages 11 and 12, who reported they were walking on the sidewalk when a car drove past them. One of the occupants yelled for the girls to “come here” and the girls ignored them. The car continued driving but stopped in the roadway about 20 feet away. One occupant exited the car and yelled for the girls to “come here.” The girls turned and ran to a neighbor’s house and called police.

Officers responded and spoke with the girls who described the car as a dark gold colored vehicle, mid-size, possibly with a dent on the passenger side rear door. The driver was described as a white or light complexioned female and the other occupants were described as black males. It is not clear how many people were inside the car nor is it clear what their motive was.

Officers canvassed the area and spoke to people who live in the area. The investigation is on-going.
