Duo Charged in Burglary of Local Pharmacy, Recreation Center

On February 15, 2011 at approximately 4:45 a.m., deputies responded to St. Johns Pharmacy on Three Notch Road in Hollywood, for an alarm.  When deputies arrived they located a screw driver on the ground outside the basement door and pry marks on the door frame.  Deputies observed a red Jeep across the street from the pharmacy.  Deputies stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver who was identified as Zecharia Samuel Everett, 20 of Lusby and passenger who was identified as Maxwell Lewis Scroggs, 20 of Lusby.

Further investigation revealed Everett and Scroggs attempted to break into the St. Johns Pharmacy.  The investigation also revealed that Everett and Scroggs had broken into the Hollywood Recreation Center on Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood, Maryland and stole a television and two cameras.  

Everett and Scroggs were arrested.  A search of the vehicle incident to the arrest revealed burglar’s tools. Everett and Scroggs were charged with two counts of forth degree burglary, third degree burglary and second degree burglary.
