Drug Suspect Arrested Again After Police Chase Ensued

St. Mary's Vice narcotics detectives were assisted by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit and patrol officers in attempting to stop Reginald Alan Price aka “Ricky”,age 45, as he operated a vehicle in the Clements area. Suspect Price was arrested several days ago at the conclusion of a large scale drug investigation. He was wanted for Violation of Parole and was suspected of being in possession of controlled dangerous substances.

Suspect Price refused to stop and a chase ensued. Suspect Price fled, and attempted to get back to his home. Undercover and uniformed officers were waiting for him. He was taken into custody. Narcotics detectives returned to the area where the chase had taken place, and located several baggies of crack cocaine and heroin.

A Search Warrant was conducted again on his home and recovered was heroin, cocaine, hashish, marijuana, nearly $1,400 and packaging materials used in the distribution of controlled dangerous substances.

Suspect Price will be charged with the additional counts for the fleeing and eluding and additional criminal charges are pending a State’s Attorney’s Office review. He is currently being held without bond.  No one was injured during the chase and no property was damaged.
